It’s been a week since all hell broke loose…

Rumors of King Taron’s weakened powers have left the air court vulnerable. Kalin is desperate to awaken her akasha powers, except she doesn’t know how. Tension within the court is at an all-time high. Pressure is mounting for her to ascend to the throne, but a halfling has never ruled over any court. To solidify her position, the council has advised her to marry Sebastian—a high ranking air elemental she’s never met and her betrothed.

Will Kalin sacrifice her relationship with Rowan to strengthen her court?

Rowan and Marcus return to a fire court in turmoil. Liana’s death has fueled the fire elementals’ distrust against the air and woodland courts. The unbalanced elements have set off natural disasters all over the mortal world. Rowan takes the throne to restore balance, promising to unite the fire court. But not all elementals are happy with his leadership. Many are secretly loyal to Valac, which means Rowan needs to find allies for his cause.

Can Rowan unify the court of fire before the elements destroy the world?

1.         Niall from Melissa Marr's WICKED LOVELY series. Oh man, I have a serious crush on him. The poor guy really has a tough time throughout the series. But through it all, he always manages to do what is right for his court. Oh, and a simple touch will make anyone fall in love with him—cool!
2.         Irial from Melissa Marr's WICKED LOVELY series. Falling for Irial took some time because of what he put a certain human through in INK EXCHANGE. But, by the end of the series, I understood him and he became one of my all-time favorites.
3.         Kaye from Holly Black's MODERN FAERIE TALES series. This series is very dark and Holly really puts Kaye through a lot. But I cheered for her and admired her strength throughout the series.
4.         Ash from Julie Kagawa's IRON FEY series. I love Ash because he tries so hard to be bad, but he just isn't. He never really ever fits in with his family—which is a good thing. Readers are always comparing my Rowan to Ash. <3
5.         Keenan from Melissa Marr's WICKED LOVELY series. Ridiculously hot and magical, what's not to love? Poor Keenan had a tough go of things. I didn't always agree with his decisions, but I love where he ended up in the end.
6.         Ethan from Jenna Black's FAERIEWALKER series. I went back and forth with Ethan throughout the first book, but he won me over in the end. Another hot fae character—nothing wrong with that. ;-p
7.         Roiben from Holly Black's MODERN FAERIE TALES series. It's hard to tell you what I like without giving away spoilers. I'll just say I wasn't crazy about him in the beginning, but once I understood his motives, I fell for him.
8.         Meghan Chase from Julie Kagawa's IRON FEY series. Meghan is one of my all-time favorites because she was thrown into a world she knew nothing about, then had to fight for survival. I loved cheering for her.
9.         Dana from Jenna Black's FAERIEWALKER series. Dana had a really tough childhood, then she went to live with her father, and things got even harder. She's a strong character and this series is worthy of a read!
10.       Tamani from Aprilynne Pike's WINGS series. He's such a good guy. I really liked him, especially the pollen scene. Not going to say anymore. WINGS was a fun read!

The Hit List Blog Tour - Guest Post & Giveaway

Title: The Hit List
Author: Nikki Urang
Publisher: Spencer Hill Contemporary
Publication Date: November 11, 2014

The Los Angeles Conservatory for the Arts is supposed to be a new beginning for Sadie Bryant. Moving across the country is exactly what she needs to escape the gossip surrounding her injury, the devastating betrayal of her ex-partner, and to rebuild her career as a solo dancer.

When the school announces that the annual Fall Showcase, a performance that secures a spot studying in London, will now require each dancer to have a partner, Sadie’s fresh start is a nightmare. Now she has to dance with Luke Morrison, the school womanizer with a big ego. Sadie doesn’t know how to trust Luke enough to dance with him after her last partner left her broken, but Luke is determined to change that.

Then, The Hit List comes out. A game of sexual conquest where guys get points for all the girls they hook up with—and it seems like every guy at the school is playing.

The girl worth the most points? Sadie.

Sexual harassment is a term that most people are familiar with. You may or may not know that sexual harassment is unwanted sexual advances or remarks. It can be verbal or physical, like a proposition or touching or it can be non-verbal, like a look. It can be obvious, like grabbing someone, or it can be obscure, like a joke.

It doesn’t matter how blatant or subtle, sexual harassment is not okay.

Chances are pretty good that you know someone who has been a victim of some sort of sexual harassment or abuse, whether they’ve told you or not. And sadly, chances are too high that you’ve experienced a form of it yourself.

Unfortunately, schools are a common place for sexual harassment and abuse to occur. Games and pranks happen all the time, sometimes with a clear target and sometimes not. THE HIT LIST was born from a conversation I had with a friend when we were in high school who told me the senior guys were betting on who could sleep with a freshman girl the fastest. The internet has made anonymous harassment possible. Social media allows it to spread like wild fire. Sometimes it feels like schools aren’t doing their part to stop it. Sometimes they’re doing all they can.

One of the threads of THE HIT LIST is an online game that awards points for various sexual acts, including a list of girls worth bonus points, all broadcast for anyone with an internet connection to see on a blog. The goal of this game is simple: earn the most points by documenting sexual encounters and submitting them to The Hit Man. Anything is fair game as long as consent is provided.

While this game might not be in every school, the things that happen as a result are something real teens face every day, things that Sadie has to deal with, too.

Healthy relationships don’t involve sexual manipulation, deceit, or bullying. Anyone who cares about you won’t lie to you in order to get something from you. They won’t tell you that you need to do something for them because they did something for you. They won’t pressure you into doing something you’re not ready for.

You never have to do something you don’t want to do. You don’t have to just deal with someone brushing up against you or touching you in a way you aren’t comfortable with. You are not in the wrong if you feel uncomfortable or uneasy because of someone else’s actions.

Talking about harassment is important. Not everyone is a victim, but everyone can work to prevent it. Stand up against harassment when you see it. Don’t allow it to continue. Together, we can stop it.

If you have been a victim of sexual abuse or harassment, please reach out for help. The National Sexual Assault Hotline is available 24/7 at 1-800-656-HOPE(4673).

Mega Cover Reveal & Giveaway

Hey! So, I saw I was releasing 4 different covers today. So rather than going to the effort of making separate posts, because who really has the time for that. I've decided to showcase them all together. I'd like to welcome Anne & Henry, VIP, Hands Off!, Salt & Stone and the redesign of Fire & Flood paperback to the blog.

A love worth losing your head over

ANNE
Wild, brazen, mischievous, bewitching

HENRY
Driven, haunted, charming, magnetic

ANNE & HENRY
Apart they are bound to destroy themselves. Together, they are bound to destroy each other.

HENRY TUDOR’S LIFE HAS BEEN mapped out since the day he was born: student president, valedictorian, Harvard Law School, and a stunning political career just like his father’s.

But ever since the death of Henry’s brother—perfect, high-achieving Arthur—his family has been twice as demanding. And now Henry’s trapped: forbidden from pursuing a life as an artist or dating any girl who’s not Tudor-approved.

Then Anne Boleyn crashes into his life.

Anne is wild, brash, and outspoken. She is everything Henry is not allowed to be—or to want. But soon Anne is all he can think about. His mother, his friends, and even his girlfriend warn him away, yet his desire for Anne consumes him. Henry is willing to do anything to be with her. But once he has her, their romance could destroy them both.

Inspired by the true story of Anne Boleyn and King Henry VIII, ANNE & HENRY reimagines the intensity, love, and betrayal between one of the most infamous couples of all time.

When Cassidy Evans scores VIP tickets to a concert, she decides to use them for one carefree night before beginning a summer internship at her father’s Fortune 500 company. But one carefree night turns into a few too many martinis—with two unexpected twists: A steamy encounter with Gage Logan, sexy singer and guitarist, and a tempting job offer from Gage’s boss to work at the concert venue she now knows quite intimately.

She definitely can’t take the job. Her internship is an opportunity any business major would kill for. But the thought of working with her father, a man furious with grief over a family tragedy that struck six months ago, fills her with dread.

Then there’s Gage. Working with him all summer could be hot. Cassidy can’t stop flashing back to their night together. Molten kisses. His hands smoothing across the skin of her belly. The weight of his body above her own…

And suddenly the decision about how to spend her summer is much, much harder to make.

VIP is the first act of the three part sexy romance serial, Rock & Release, launching November 17, 2014. The final two acts, Starstruck and Show Stopper, will release on December 1 and December 15, respectively.

One hundred days without sex? Is that even possible?

When I got offered an exchange year to the Italian art school of my dreams, I nearly cried. I could barely afford college expenses at home let alone in a foreign country. I had to decline but my rich, uptight grandmother called with her screwed up offer.

If I agreed to her conditions, she’d foot the bill. So I agreed. I figured she didn’t really care about my sex life, she just wanted me to keep my partying off the radar of her fancy friends.

I was so wrong.

The sexy but annoying Chad moved into my apartment to keep me under surveillance. He’s impervious to my charms and for some damn reason, dead set on making sure I lose this deal.

One hundred days is a helluva long time to avoid temptation – even longer when Chad becomes the temptation.

What would you do to save someone you love?

In Fire & Flood, Tella Holloway faced a dangerous trek through the jungle and across the desert, all to remain a Contender in the Brimstone Bleed for a chance at obtaining the Cure for her brother. She can't quit--she has to win the race, save Cody, and then fight to make sure the race stops before it can claim any more lives. In the next legs of the race, across the ocean and over mountains, Tella will face frostbite, sharks, avalanche, and twisted new rules in the race.

But what if the danger is deeper than that? How do you know who to trust when everyone's keeping secrets? What do you do when the person you'd relied on most suddenly isn't there for support? How do you weigh one life against another?

The race is coming to an end, and Tella is running out of time, resources, and strength. At the start of the race there were one hundred twenty-two Contenders. As Tella and her remaining friends start the final part of the race, just forty-one are left--and only one can win.
