Brooke Mills has only ever wanted to be loved.  The product of a teenage pregnancy and raised by her grandmother, Brooke went looking for love in all the wrong places.  She has been the other woman or someone’s dirty little secret more times than she cares to admit.  When Brooke’s questionable judgment lands her in the bed of her new neighbor, it’s the wakeup call she needs to change her ways.  With the help of her friends, Brooke is determined to find a nice guy.

Adam Branigan is new in town, and despite the way he and Brooke met, Adam knows there’s more to the beautiful redhead than meets the eye.  He wants to be the guy to show Brooke that she deserves more than late night booty calls.  But will outside pressures and past relationships conspire to keep them apart?

**This book is intended for a mature audience, age 18 and older, due to language and explicit content.

I feel bad for any person moving to a small town. It's like they all have some sort of death wish. Or that could be just all the people I read about in books. If the time ever comes, I'll let you know if I have a death wish too.

Adam moving onto Brooke's property was the best or worst thing that could have happened, depending on who you ask. So maybe Brooke and Adam's first meeting could have been a little more proper. But what would you do if a hot guy lived on your property?

I loved Adam and Brooke's story. It's definitely one of the more unique ones out in the new adult area. Also, on that note, I'd like to thank Kirsten for writing a story that has safe sex in it. Yes, we have a fair amount of books where they use a condom, but Brooke was on the pill! So major kudos as to covering all the basis.

Now, onto the plot. The plot of the story outside of the new adult aspect of it, is very original. Starting with why Adam moves to the town. As the story progresses, we see bits of small town drama going on, which I have to admit, I kind of enjoyed. It shows whose really loyal to the cause. Then we have Brooke dealing with issues she has thrown at her throughout this book.

I loved Brooke's girlfriends, they all have their own specialties as to what Brooke can talk to about in regards to life, love and guys. Which is awesome, because we all need those girlfriends who are good at talking about certain areas in life. I definitely wish I had a girlfriend like Brooke, who could make my hair all pretty.

With this being my first book of Kirsten's, I think it is safe to say that it won't be my last. I will definitely be checking out the rest of this series.
