A madman with a mission is kidnapping groups of thrill-seeking high school seniors across the country, and it’s up to Christy to stop him.

To do so, she must take on a fearless alter ego and infiltrate a group of adrenaline junkies bent on pushing life to the limit. Death-defying stunts are only the beginning: two groups fit the profile, and Christy must discover the real target before it’s too late.

If she chooses the wrong group, more people will disappear. But choosing right puts her as the prime target—with no guarantee that she’ll get out alive.

This book was one big adrenaline rush. It was an awesome adventure you couldn't put down.

What I found hard about reading this book was knowing that the main character was going to be a hostage. I was on edge the whole time wondering, "When is it going to happen?" I also noticed I got suspicious of characters that I knew I shouldn't have.

I think when it comes to YA books, we have this expectation of characters maturing or developing in a book. But when you have a book where the MC is in a situation as this one, character development shouldn't be a top priority. In fact, wouldn't the priority be 'I hope you catch them'? That is just my thinking. Let me know what you think in the comments.

The pace of the story was great. We got to learn about the types of people they kidnap. Who their next potential targets were and such. What I found interesting was that when the kidnapper recruits to do his dirty work, you discover how many different jobs this guy recruits for. We have the main position, which is to be an assassin. Then you find out if you're not cut out for that, you're put in a job that better suits your skills.

The compound Christy is taken to is almost city like that you almost forget it's a compound. I definitely got lost in that building. Both physically and imaginatively. It was so well developed and exciting to read about.

There is tons of action in the story that the slower parts in the book balance it out. The timeline is more realistic to something you'd see in real life than on TV. Also, RAINBOW

If crime solving is your thing. Then get this on your TBR list.
