25 Days of Book Boyfriends Tour - Music Playlist & Giveaway

We all have a book boyfriend, in fact many of us have more than one. Basically we're cheating with another guy with every book we read. Sorry guys, just know we all love you equally. So the ladies at Starbucks & Books ObsessionLovin' Los Libros and Readers Live A Thousand Lives have decided to round up these hotties we all fell in love with in a blog tour. So from the beginning of this month till the 25th you can read up on 25 of the top boyfriends of the year. Click the picture above to find out the other boyfriends that we swoon over.

So, I'm sure you're all wondering who my book boyfriend is. Everyone, say hello to...

Ash Fisher

If you do not know where he is from, he's the male protagonist in the amazing Black City Trilogy by Elizabeth Richards. Isn't he just a handsome vampire? *plays with hair*

Books 1 and 2 are out with the last one coming out this summer. The picture is a link to Black City's Goodreads page.

So, for this post I actually asked Elizabeth for a playlist of what we'd find on his iPod. I want to thank Elizabeth for taking the time to up write this up. If you want to find out more about her, you can check out her blog or Twitter. These are awesome books and I can't stop raving about them. If you're really into vampires and dystopia, then click that "want to read" button. I don't want to say goodbye to him. *sheds tear* So before I get too emotional, here is the playlist of what would be on Ash's iPod and what they mean to him.

1. Breaking the Rules – Jack Savoretti
This is one of those songs that you swear is written about you, because the lyrics seem to be describing your life. Just listen to this: “This city can’t get any colder. It stabs you in the back, while it’s shaking your hand. So I’m taking a chance, walking away, breaking the rules. Nobody here can tell me what to do. I’m out on my own, making my way, trying to be someone that I can be proud of one day.”

2. Chocolate – The 1975
I put this on when Beetle and I are smoking on the roof of his barge. It’s upbeat and fun to dance to (yeah, I dance. Badly. Just ask Natalie).

3. Flavor – Tori Amos
This song makes me think of Natalie. It’s sensuous, beautiful and again, the lyrics resonate with me: “You must pick a side. Will you choose fear? Will you choose love?”.

4. Liar and The Lighter – Gabrielle Aplin
I love her voice; so sweet and haunting. Plus, the line “Stick around to watch this town fall, down onto its knees” sorta resonates with me. I wonder why…? ;p

5. Outlaws of Love – Adam Lambert
This guy has a crazy set of pipes! Plus, the song is about forbidden love and that’s certainly something Natalie and I have experienced.

6. Nuvole Bianche – Einaudi
Day’s trying to teach me to play the piano at the moment. She’s been very patient; I’m about as gifted at music as I am at dancing, which is to say, not very much. I can just about play ‘Chopsticks’, but I hope to be good enough to play this one day. It might be a long, long, long way into the future, though.

7. Fairytale of New York – The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl
I’ve been getting into the festive spirit and downloading loads of Christmas tunes. This has to be my favorite! Natalie’s is ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ by Mariah Carey, which she likes to sing to me. She’s such a softy. I love her to pieces.

8. Freedom Fighters – Two Steps from Hell
I like to listen to this when I need to get pumped up and fight. It really gets my heart thumping.

9. Cats in the Cradle – Ugly Kid Joe
This makes me think of my dad...

10. Feeling Good – Nina Simone
“It’s a new dawn, a new day, a new life for me. And I’m feeling good.” Hell yeah!

I just love a guy with varied music tastes and man does Ash ever have an awesome range.

There will be 2 winners.
One will win the book courtesy of me.
The other will win singed bookmarks courtesy of Elizabeth who graciously donated. Thank you!
