When seventeen-year-old Sia wakes up on a park bench, she has no idea who or where she is. Yet after a week of being homeless, she’s reunited with her family. At school, she’s powerful and popular. At home, she’s wealthy beyond her dreams. But she quickly realizes her perfect life is a lie. Her family is falling apart and her friends are snobby, cruel and plastic. Worse yet, she discovers she was the cruelest one. Mortified by her past, she embarks on a journey of redemption and falls for Kyle, the “geek” she once tormented. Yet all the time she wonders if, when her memories return, she’ll become the bully she was before…and if she’ll lose Kyle.

Having read two more intense books prior to this, I felt like this book couldn't have been read at a better time. This one is a more relaxed contemporary read.

What really grabbed me to read this was in fact the main characters name, which is Sia. I haven't heard that name before until now. It's a very pretty name. But it also stands out among everyone else in the book.

The concept that someone can lose their memory after something traumatic happens to oneself is a scary thought. This is exactly what happens to Sia after being hit by a car.

What was interesting about this book was that she lives on the street for the first week. There was no thought process of trying to find parents or any family of sort.

Then comes the cliched parts. Sia comes from a high class family and she's the bitchiest girl in her school. Needless to say her eyes get opened to her family financial situation and she becomes the outcast after this incident. Then comes her boyfriend at the start of the book. He's the typical class jerk, who trips the "losers" of the school. If you can see where I'm going with this, yes she does break up with him and befriends the "losers".

While being homeless a lady by the name of Carol takes her under her wing. She becomes a mentor of sort to Sia and they both make incredible changes throughout the books thanks to each other.

Overall, if you're looking for a break after some intense books, then I'd check this one out. Also, I think you're all curious to know whether or not Sia gets her memory back.
