Say When Blog Tour - Review, Quotes & Giveaways

Title: Say When
Series: Something More #1

Author: Tara West
 Release Date: July 19th 2013
Genres: New Adult, Romance
He told me to say when, but I can’t. Not with Andrés. It’s so hard to say anything when he’s trailing feather soft kisses down my neck, or when his touch sends hot currents of lust rippling across my skin.

Then there’s the way he smiles and offers soft words of encouragement when I’m creating art, almost like he believes I have talent.

He’s not like any guy I’ve ever met. Not like my ex-fiancée. Not like my father. He’s got me thinking that maybe we can have something more. More than just lust, degradation, and abuse.

And now I’m scared, because that means I’ll have to trust him with more than just my body, but with my heart, too.

Christina Duval
I like how this book started out. The prologue is of Christina puking after some horrible sex. Poor girl, let me hold your hair up.

Now onto the less gross stuff.

Let me just say that Jackson, you're a complete ass and you can go DIAF.

I loved this book!

I liked the diversity in characters. Andrés being Mexican, and Karri being a drug addict with a child. It made for a nice twist, really. Then there was her mom, who was just a bitch.

So newly single Christina goes out with her friend for a few drinks, which quickly turns into a one night stand. That quickly turns into something more. Did I find this annoying that there was this insta-chemistry? Yes. But it worked.

The way that Andrés is welcomed into the story is totally a typical chick moment. Car troubles! But I loved it.

Christina has a past that most girls would most likely turn a girl away from guys forever. I don't want to give much away. But I really gave Christina kudos for having a relationship.

I feel like I'd have to explain a lot of the book in order to fully talk about how I felt about it. Its a beautiful story full of ups and downs. I felt some heartbreak for Karri's son. Christina finds passion in what she loves doing once again.

The humor was a nice topping on the cake. Not that there is a lot, but just enough to add to the story.

I hope this is enough for one to want to read it.

""No!" I grab a fistful of shrimp and pineapple and something unrecognizable and throw it at his ugly tie."

"...she practically had a money-gasm the first time I brought him home."

"I am not a whore. I do not have sex with random strangers, I say to myself, but my libido isn't listening."

"My nostrils flare as I inhale a heavenly scent. Bacon. Someone is cooking bacon.
Bacon?
I shoot up as I survey my surroundings. My mom is a vegetarian. I am definitely not at home.
Omigod! I had sex with a random stranger!"

"Honestly, there are days when I wonder if I wasn't adopted, or maybe sired by aliens and switched at birth."

"I'm so tempted to tell her I had to throw him back because his penis was under the legal limit..."

""Exactly. I mean, I'm hip to the new trend of dating dark-skinned men. Look how well it turned out for Tiger Woods's wife.""
